A defenceless dog, abandoned by her owner and left tied to a tree in Newcastle, has been given a fresh start.
After the guts of four long and stressful weeks of attempting to catch her, the dog – who has been named ‘Faith’ by the animal charity caring for her – was finally caught last week, thanks to the efforts of a local dog handler, one of his trusted canines, and a tennis ball, of all things!
Now loving her new life, she quickly settled into her foster carer’s loving and safe home.
First spotted in Donard Forest a month ago, the dog was petrified of humans. She had been released from the rope by someone with good intentions, but this made catching her all the more difficult.
