A talented local photographer launched his latest exhibition this week. Featuring a beautiful collection of landscape and wildlife photography, Nathan Pierson’s Nature Through My Autistic Eyes can be enjoyed at Newcastle Library until Saturday, 26 July.
The well-known young Annalong man will showcase a range of his work, with his beloved Mourne Mountains heavily featured alongside other scenic locations across the country, including Fermanagh and the North Coast. As an autistic photographer with Verbal Dyspraxia, this exhibition celebrates Nathan’s unique perspective on the world.
“I’m so proud to share my work and to inspire others through my photography,” he told the Mourne Observer.
In addition to his passion for photography, Nathan is a dedicated charity fundraiser. In May, he proudly celebrated raising an impressive £100,000 for local charities and good causes.
Encouraging people to visit the exhibition, he expressed how “beyond excited” he is about the images on display. “Please come along and explore my landscape and nature photography, featuring beautiful shots of places like the Mourne Mountains, County Antrim, County Fermanagh, and much more,” Nathan said.
The self-taught photographer added: “Everyone is welcome to come along, see my work, say hello, and support local. I’m so excited to welcome you all and hope to meet as many people as possible. Please spread the word to everyone you know about this exhibition.”
The exhibition is autism-friendly and entry is free of charge. It will be open for viewing during normal library hours. To keep up to date with Nathan’s work, follow Nat Photography Northern Ireland on Facebook or Instagram.
