NEWCASTLE AC demonstrated its strength and versatility as a club last Saturday (7 September), achieving success across a variety of terrains.
At the iconic Ben Nevis Race, held on the hottest day of the year, two club members braved the punishing conditions.
Tom Crudgington has been going from strength to strength and made history by securing second place in 1:54:25, the highest placing by an Irish male in the race’s history.
David Hicks also delivered a solid performance, finishing in 2:30:41, both athletes showing great perseverance despite the heat.
