CASTLEWELLAN Town captain Conall Corrigan says he and his teammates are “absolutely buzzing to get over the line” following last Tuesday’s 4-0 win over Ford FC that secured the NAFL 2A title.
The Town finished the campaign in style with an emphatic 7-0 win over Donaghadee on Saturday and the captain says he was delighted to pick up the 2A trophy after a tough run of games in the wake of the club’s Junior Shield final defeat to St Mary’s on the 17th of April.
“Winning the 2A title was our main aim at the start of the season, so I was buzzing to get it.
“We had seven really tough games after the Junior Shield final, we were playing the teams in the top three home and away.
“We’re absolutely buzzing to get over the line,” Corrigan said.
