    Down High School’s 1st XV rugby team have reached the knockout stages of the Schools’ Cup following a bonus point win over Ballyclare High at Mount Crescent.

    The Downpatrick students secured their place in the final stages of Ulster rugby’s premier schools’ competition with a 33-27 win.

    The Down High tries came courtesy of Lewis Connolly (2) and Josh McCaughey and Jacob Bradshaw.

    The local side were also awarded a penalty try and Josh McCaughey kicked three conversions.
