DRUMANESS Mills are still buzzing after their stunning victory over Armagh City in Saturday’s fifth round of the Irish Cup.
The Mills went into the game as underdogs, but they managed to score four goals against the Championship side to set up a sixth-round game against either Strabane or Glentoran.
Drumaness’s goalscorers on the day were Adam Garland, Jack Sharvin, Declan Looney and new signing Reece Doyle who arrived from Warrenpoint last week.
Club captain Gary Murdock told the Mourne Observer that the performance was remarkable considering the new signing Reece was so new.
“It was the first time Jack and Reece had played together and the way they linked up was brilliant.”
The excitement is all the greater in Drumaness as they might get to play one of the biggest teams in Irish League football, Glentoran.
Gary said, “Whoever it is, it’s going to be a tough task, but it’s one that we’re relishing and looking forward to,” the captain said.
“If it was a cup tie away to Glentoran, it would be brilliant day out for us.”
