Irish Cup sixth round

Glentoran 5 Drumaness Mills 0

DRUMANESS Mills’ Irish Cup journey came to an end tonight when they met a determined and resolute Glentoran side at the Oval in Belfast.

The Mills’ held on for the first 24 minutes and then Jordan Jenkins scored the first of his four goals. Thirteen minutes later Jenkins scored his second goal. A minute before the end of the first half, he completed his hat-trick.

Drumaness battled hard and tried to stay in the game but in the final 11 minutes Glentoran scored two more goals. Seventeen-year-old Cal Weatherup scored from the penalty spot in the 88th minute.

Despite this defeat, Drumaness will look back fondly on an incredible cup run in which they defeated Desertmartin, Fivemiletown United, Newry City, and Armagh City.
