IRREPLACEABLE specimen trees at Rowallane Gardens have been lost forever according to the National Trust.
The conservation charity has said that Storm Éowyn caused a ‘trail of damage’.
It said that the winds of 90mph left the gardens ‘almost unrecognisable’, and some trees.
The estimate that 150 trees were taken down and that some of the specimen trees were over 250-years old.
