Juveniles shine at Crossgar Flannigan Trophy

Ciaran McKeown was the winner of the recent Flannigan Trophy competition held at Crossgar Golf Club. He was presented with a prize from Crossgar GC Captain Martin Hyde.

CROSSGAR Golf Club is delighted to have such an enthusiastic group of juveniles in the club this year and it was great to have 24 playing in the recent Flannigan Trophy competition. 

To show our appreciation for all the young competitors, club captain, Martin Hyde, was happy to be present for the prize giving and to make the presentations. 

The winner of the Flannigan Trophy was Ciaran McKeown. 

Other winners were as follows: 

1st (Cat A) – Tyson Chaddock, 2nd (Cat A) – Jake Moreland, 1st (Cat B) – Max Savage, 2nd (Cat B) – Lewis Kennedy.

Best front 9 – Jayden Love, Best Back 9 – Brogan Lennon, Nearest the pin 5th/14th – Owen Treanor, Nearest the pin 8th/17th – Jake Moreland.

Longest Drive – Oliver Douglas, Non-Handicap – Ethan Murtagh, Twos – Jake Moreland.

The club appreciates the amount of work Catherine Milhinch puts in to organising the juvenile section competitions throughout the year, and we thank her main helpers, Ross Douglas and Dylan Chillingworth.

To make this day special for all who participated, a big thank you to Catherine Milhinch and Patricia Murray for the catering on offer on the day.
