A Newcastle man has appeared in court charged with murdering his next-door neighbour, Sean Small.
Mark Bready (41), of Slievenabrock Avenue, appeared in the dock at Ards Magistrates’ Court within the past few minutes.
It is alleged he killed the 84-year-old between 19 and 24 August.
The deceased had recently been released from prison after serving a sentence for sexual offences. His body was found last Sunday night.
