L-R: Mourne All Blacks boxers Sé Clarke and Nathan Scott impressed in recent bouts against Dublin opponents.

THE All Blacks travelled the long road to Monkstown Boxing Club in Dublin on Saturday 16 November.

Representing Down/Armagh for the All Blacks camp was Sé Clarke, and Nathan Scott.

Sé boxed Jamie Walsh from the Ballybrack club. Walsh was a tidy, and well-schooled boxer, throwing punches in bunches, but young Clarke with his right cross, his best punch, frequently found its target.

It was a terrific contest to watch.

Nathan Scott boxed Zues Haughran in another thriller.

Haughran was a formidable opponent, and Nathan used all his crispy, neat combinations to ensure a brilliant exhibition of boxing at its best.

Due to a lack of judges, all 36 contests were exhibitions, however this did not distract from a wonderful day of boxing in the fantastic facilities offered by the Monkstown club.
