THE Mourne Motorcycle Club held the second round of the Adult Ulster Motocross Championship at Seaforde Moto Parc on May Day.

The Clubman MX2 class started the day and in the first race, Saintfield’s Jordan McMullan led from the start until a fall on the last lap, leaving Scott Ferris, from Lisburn, to take the honours ahead of Gerard O’Boyle in second place and Andrew Kerr in third, as McMullan finished in fifth position.

In the second race McMullan led until a first lap collision left him to finish in tenth. Then Lisburn’s Ross Mackin, from Lisburn, led until a fall on the last lap allowed Ballynahinch man Stephen Maitland to take the chequered flag, ahead of Ferris in second and Banbridge man Paul Gray in third position.

McMullan won the final race ahead of Mackin, Ards man Alex Jellie in third and Maitland in fourth position.
