POPPY Hamilton’s form continues to go from strength to strength. She raced recently in the second round of the British Youth Omnium, which took place in Dundee, Scotland.
Poppy started the day with a personal best in the time trial to finish fifth and move forward to the other races on the day, resulting in a ninth place overall for the British Championship event, the best result by a girl from Northern Ireland in the series.
On Sunday past she got special permission again to ride with the senior women and set another PB in the flying 200m.
Poppy followed it up her performance in the flying 200m with a third place in the Madison, a win in her sprint final and a final third place in the last race of the day.
At the minute, races can’t come quick enough with the form Poppy is showing, consistently breaking personal bests for all the timed events, which bodes well for the rest of the season.
