MOURNES councillor Glyn Hanna has said that he did not back last week’s district rates rise because he believes local ratepayers are ‘being delivered a bad deal’.
The council voted 26-5 in favour of a 3.98 per cent increase at its February meeting, with only the DUP representative and his four party colleagues going on the record against this.
“I voted against this increase because I believe ratepayers in this council area are delivered a bad deal,” Glyn said.
In the full article Glyn expresses his frustration at the rates, and why constituents should not be happy.
