Rostrevor 1-19 Longstone 2-10

Though the first score of each half was a Longstone goal, the visitors were generally outclassed here. Rostrevor seemed prepared to work harder, they were more determined to atone for mistakes, and had much more in the tank in the final quarter.
Things looked very positive for the Stone in the first few seconds though. They won the throw-in and Shane McDowell took off down the left wing. Paudi Cunningham made a good run on McDowell’s inside and was found with a slip pass, but Aidan Magee in the Rostrevor net did brilliantly to stop Cunningham’s shot. However, the rebound fell into the path of Ryan Kelly and the experienced attacker palmed to the net.
Then Rostrevor took over. Piaras Kane got their first point and Callum Annett was at the end of a nice move to get the second.
