SEVEN-YEAR-OLD Evie Travers picked up two trophies at the recent Quad Racing Ireland Awards Night, held at the Belmont House Hotel, Banbridge, on Saturday 22 November.

The St Mary’s Primary School pupil achieved the first big success of her early career when she was crowned Youth Year 1 50cc class champion in this year’s Ulster Junior Quad and Sidecar Championships, taking the title after nine rounds of racing, which took place from April to September.

Newcastle girl Evie was recognised for her phenomenal season, winning the MRA (Motorcycle Racing Association) and QRI (Quad Racing Ireland) Youth Year 1 awards.

Her next challenge is tackling 100cc quads when she moves up a racing class next season, beginning in April 2026.
