SPA Golf Club boast an unusual attribute this season that few other clubs are likely to match as they have appointed a brother and sister to be their Junior captains for this season.
Maia Carson, from Spa, is in her second year of captaincy, and this year is joined by her brother Calum as the pair carry out duties and responsibilities to best serve their club.
Their father Alan said that he was not surprised at his children’s appointments.
“They are the type that just like to be involved,” he said.
“If there is anything coming up then they are more than happy to do it. They are both already helping out in the club on big days, doing social media stuff and things like that.
“They have been there from they were very young.
“They have played up through juveniles. I think Calum was a Junior captain. And Maia has been the Juvenile captain for the last couple of years.”
