Storm Bram hit Newcastle today with great force.
The Met Office had issued an amber warning for wind today, from 2pm to 7pm. From the afternoon onwards the winds whipped through the town.
Coupled with high tide it meant that the sea crashed upon the coast.
The Shore Road in Rostrevor and the South Promenade in Newcastle were both impassable due to flooding for periods. The public were advised to avoid the area, exercise caution and seek alternative routes for your journeys (15:00).
