Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Serious Crime Branch made three arrests yesterday (Tuesday 9 December) following searches previously carried out in County Down.
A 38-year-old man was arrested in Ballynahinch, a 40-year-old woman was arrested in Lurgan, while a 48-year-old man was arrested in Kilkeel.
The PSNI have said that all three were arrested under the Terrorism Act 2000 and were taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning.
The arrests are part of a cross-border investigation, carried out in conjunction with An Garda Síochána, into violent right-wing extremism.
