Brendan Tumilty snatched the winner for Dromara in Saturday’s Intermediate Cup clash, which was Dromara’s first victory in five matches played. They had lost three games in the NAFL Premier Division and one in the Irish Cup before Saturday’s game.

Dromara were up against a Markethill Swifts side that are mid-table in the Mid Ulster Intermediate B league, having won five of their 13 matches played. The match on Saturday was scoreless in the first half.

Dromara found the net in the eighth minute of the second half when Ben Martin scored. Two minutes later, Philip Kerr scored Dromara’s second goal. That comfortable lead disappeared in the 66th minute when Markethill scored their first. Markethill then scored the equalizer in the 81st minute. That made for a nervous final ten minutes. But in the third minute of injury-time, Tumilty grabbed the winner.
