Valley Rangers Ladies captain Elaine Patterson says putting the ball in the back of the net as much as possible could be key to her team gaining another league promotion this season.
Speaking after last Wednesday night’s 11-0 hammering of Rathfriland in the NIWFA Division Four Cup, Patterson praised Valley’s flawless start to the season.

“It was a good win (against Rathfriland), we sort of know we’re ahead of them, but it’s got to the point now where you’re always looking for big scorelines,” she said.
“It’s been a really good start. There are three teams at the top (of the table) – ourselves, Oxford Sunnyside and Ards Rangers. We knew from the start of the season that it would be a three-horse race – we know that they’re both getting big scorelines in other games too.”
The Valley Ladies compete in NIWFA Division Four, following promotion from Division Five last season.
