Valley Rangers youth player Thomas Chestnutt recently won the Golden Glove award for best goalkeeper in the U-12 category at this year’s Mina Cup.
Thomas was representing the Glasgow Rangers NI Soccer Academy alongside fellow Valley player Arthur Norman at the prestigious youth tournament, which took place from 9–14 April at the JA Sports Centre in Dubai.
The Rangers NI Academy U-12 side faced Empire FC, Scaut Kazakhstan, Fursan Hispania, and Elite London Academy in the group stages of the tournament, and Thomas’s impressive performances between the sticks earned him the Golden Glove accolade.
