Valley U-12s to represent Glasgow Rangers in Dubai

Valley Rangers youth players Arthur Norman and Thomas Chestnutt will travel to Dubai next week to represent Glasgow Rangers in the Mina Cup, a prestigious youth football competition.

The tournament, which will take place from the 9th to the 14th of April at the JA Sports Centre, was founded in 2021 and features teams from across the globe. Past tournaments have included clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund, and Feyenoord.

Arthur and Thomas will both play for the Rangers Academy U-12 team.

Brackenagh West Primary School P7 pupil Arthur joined the Rangers NI Soccer Academy in September of last year after impressing at the club’s summer camp held at Kilkeel High School.

Thomas, a Year 8 pupil at Kilkeel High School, was accepted into the Gers’ NI Academy in January 2024 after taking part in a six-week trial.
