Murlough Athletic Club’s junior runners enjoyed a fantastic day out at race two of the McGrady Financial Services Junior Cross Country Series in Delamont on Sunday, with an incredible turnout of athletes representing the club across a range of age groups.
The young runners performed amazingly on what is a challenging course. Delamont is never an easy race, but the club’s ‘mini’ athletes showed determination, strength, and huge heart as they took on the hills and crossed the finish line with smiles on their faces.
There were participants in every age category, and each and every one of them did the club proud. The effort, commitment, and sportsmanship shown by the children was a credit not only to themselves, but also to their families and coaches who encourage them week in and week out.
Murlough AC would like to thank all the runners, coaches, parents, and volunteers who made the day such a success. The club looks forward to welcoming everyone back to training on Wednesday, and to many more great days out together.
