A FORMER Newcastle man will be under the glitterball when he takes part in this year’s BBC ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ series.
It was confirmed yesterday (Tuesday) that John Nellis has joined the line-up of the popular TV show.
John shot to fame after swapping his career as an air traffic controller to become a YouTuber, with interviews under his belt with some of the world’s most famous footballers, including Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappé and Zinedine Zidane.
The former Shimna Integrated College student will take part in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ alongside an Olympian, an EastEnders legend, and even Kim Kardashian’s close friend.
The social media star will be taking to the dancefloor later this year in a newly revamped version of the BBC dancing programme, with Johannes Radebe, Josh Widdicombe and Emma Willis fronting the show for the first time.
Since leaving his air traffic control job to take on content creation full-time, John has rapidly become one of the leading stars in his field, having won Sport Creator of the Year at the 2024 TikTok Awards UK and Ireland.
