The Department of Education has been urged to quickly progress the development of a multipurpose hall at Drumaroad St Francis’ Primary School.
On Friday, principal John Paul Magee and board of governors’ chair Paul Marks hosted Nick Mathison the Assembly’s Committee for Education chairperson and Strangford MLA at the local school.
All three sat down to discuss the pressing need for the new facility with the Mourne Observer.
“It’s to improve the school going forward – we have no hall, and the pupils here are lacking that facility,” began Magee.
The full story reveals the extent of limitations that the lack of hall sets upon the children and their enjoyment of attending school. Read it now in the current issue.
